Salmon Baste

This baste makes the best salmon you'll ever taste! Use as much as the salmon will hold when you barbecue! You can also use it on vegetable kebabs for a delicious side dish.

Ingredients:
1/2 purple onion, chopped
1/2 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/8 c. molasses
1/8 c. honey
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 t. mustard
Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Juice of 1-1/2 lemons

Step-by-step:
1. Sauté onion in butter.

2. Stir in brown sugar, molasses, honey, Worcestershire, mustard, and seasonings. Simmer 10-20 minutes.

3. Stir in lemon juice and simmer for 5 minutes. Baste immediately. Baste the salmon frequently while grilling—make sure to keep the baste warm since it hardens quickly as it cools.
